Celebrating our 50th year, their journey began in 1974 beginning a series of strategic property acquisitions, enhancements and elevating exchanges. Over the decades, Hansji's pioneering spirit, combined with a methodically considered mindset, transformed us into renowned experts in 'placemaking' – crafting destinations that boost both economies and visitor experiences.
Exponential Growth and Strategic Vision
Hansji's early decades saw significant growth in Anaheim, CA with our portfolio expanding to include the Desert Palms Hotel, Del Sol Inn and Desert Inn. This success fueled the development of the 252-room Hilton DoubleTree Suites – a landmark project in Anaheim.
Expanding Horizons, Urban Innovations
Hansji’s third decade marked a shift. Venturing beyond our California base, we created hospitality and mixed-use successes in locations from San Diego to Phoenix, Arizona. Our painstaking restoration of the historic Luhrs City Center signaled Hansji's dedication to breathing new life into urban cores.
Placemaking: Beyond Hotels
The development of the cutting-edge Zentrum Technopark - Trivandrum, India, in partnership with Boston based Taurus Investment, showcased Hansji's ability to create destinations that drive broader economic success. Food & beverage expertise was further honed with the opening of the internationally acclaimed Bitter & Twisted Cocktail Parlour and Little Rituals Bar in Phoenix.
A Passion for Wild Places
With an established record in urban revitalization, we are now turning our focus toward destinations defined by natural beauty. Recent acquisitions near Yosemite and Glacier National Parks, along with sites in Marble Canyon, AZ (gateway to the Grand Canyon) and Durango, CO, will begin a bold new chapter introducing Terra Vi Nature Lodges and other new places of hospitality.
